In an exciting Tuesday night update, FarmVille has introduced Ducklings! Many FarmVille Freaks are reporting finding Ducklings upon harvesting their Duck Ponds! So far, we know that people have received Brown and Yellow Ducklings. Check out FarmVille Freak’s walk-through to the newest and most adorable FarmVille Feature!

Upon harvesting your Duck Pond, you will have a chance of finding a Duckling. Below is a picture of the menu you will see once you receive your Duckling. So far, Brown and Yellow Ducklings have been spotted on the farms by FarmVille Freaks.

Now, the Duckling can be raised, and to be able to do so, you need the help of 7 of your neighbors. You can send out help requests in the game to help raise your Duckling.

The faster the Duckling is raised, the better your adult Duck will be. You can also choose which Duck your little Duckling will grow into, depending on how fast your neighbors help you grow it.

You can only choose Ducks if you grow it in a given time period. For example, the picture below shows the menu when you try to grow a Brown Duckling. You can only choose to grow the Duckling into a Black Swan if 7 of your neighbors help you to raise it within 24 hours. If 7 neighbors do not help in one day, then the Duckling will not turn into a Black Swan.

Brown Ducklings and Yellow Ducklings do not grow into all the same Ducks.


If you receive a Duckling from the Facebook feed and/or from your neighbors, and if you place it directly into your pond, you will miss the menu above. In order to be able to grow the Duckling, you must place it on your farm first

When a neighbor helps out with the raising of your Duckling, the notice below is what they will see.

This is definitely one of my favorite crops and they look great fully bloomed, ready to harvest, and even better fertilized. Fire & Ice Roses will only be available for a short time in the FarmVille Market and will end on February 21, 2011. FarmVille Publish Only to Active Farmers Goes Live ((Details Here))


FarmVille “Publish Only to Active Farmers” has finally started rolling out.

We first mentioned this new feature on FarmVille Freak not too long ago. Basically, your news feed shares that you publish will only be visible to active FarmVille players. Inactive FarmVille players and non-FarmVille players will not be able to view your Facebook news feed shares.









FarmVille Valentine’s Day Duck (Details of All Animals + Animation)

Two new Limited Edition Valentine’s Day pink and hearts themed animals including a Valentine Cow and Valentine Duck debuted in FarmVille tonight.

The FarmVille Valentine Cow can produce an adorable Valentine Calf when placed in the Dairy Farm. You can adopt a Valentine Calf via the Facebook news feed from neighbors who share their links. This is the only way to get one as it is not available for sale in the market.

These animals can be purchased in the FarmVille Market with Farm Cash during the next 12 days only and they will expire from the market on February 7, 2011.

Gasp! FarmVille Raspberries are now yielding XP, actually an astounding 5 XP per plot!

Previously, Raspberries did not give any XP at all. Currently, no other FarmVille crop yields this much XP per plot. Even better Raspberries are fast growers and take only 2 hours until they are ready to harvest. The next runner-up for most XP is Electric Lilies at 4 XP and growth time of 1 day.

Raspberries just became an instant farmer’s favorite.

FarmVille Valentine’s Day Themed Heart Sheep + Animation

FarmVille has released a brand new Valentine’s Day Themed Showcase. In the video we see items that are yet to be released, and were also previously featured as an unreleased item on FarmVille Freak. These items include Heart Cow, Heart Duck & the Heart Sheep. Among the buildings show, the Unreleased Tunnel of Love can also be seen.

A fountain with Swans can also be seen.







Farmville Unreleased Seal , Cream Saddle , & Indian Runner Duck

If you're into collecting animals in FarmVille, you'll be happy to know that we've come across three new unreleased images of animals that will likely be coming to the game in the future. The first, the Seal (or perhaps called the Ice Seal) will likely be the first one released into the game out of the three, due to the current Winter Wonderland theme of limited edition items being available in the store.

The other two animals are the Cream Saddle Horse and the Indian Runner Duck. For both Horse and Duck lovers, this will apparently give you one of each animal to add to their respective animal storage buildings (the Horse Stable or Duck Pond). As of this writing, however, we haven't come across images of a Cream Saddle Foal, so it is also possible that due to the horse's functional appearance (it is dressed up with a gear, after all), this could be simply a decorative animal and not one that could actually be bred.


Either way, we'll be sure to bring you guys all of the details about these new animals if and when they are officially released in the game. Remember though - there's no guarantee that they will be released, so keep that in mind.
