Repair and expand the Horse Stable ((Guide)) ((Share))

As you make your way to your second farm in the FarmVille English Countryside, having made your way past Duke's Bon Voyage Party, one of the first things you'll notice on your new land is the rundown Horse Stable. While it's great that Zynga has given us the frame of the building for free, it is entirely useless in its current state, and you'll need to repair it if you want to actually store Horses in it.

This will take up just a few of your saved building parts, or Special Delivery Boxes that you might have been saving in preparation for the launch of the English Countryside, but don't worry, we'll find a place to put those extra parts in just a minute.

Meet us behind the break for more on how to repair this Horse Stable.

Luckily, you won't have to do much to complete the repairs on your Horse Stable (I guess Zynga was telling the truth when they said they wanted the expansion to be new-user friendly). You'll need just 10 Nails to finish the repair process, as you'll see that Zynga has already added the other 40 ingredients to the Horse
Once the Horse Stable has been completed, you'll be able to share a free Gray Horse with your friends, and you'll receive one of your own, so that you Horse Stable never has to sit empty. Its staring capacity is just 20 Horses, but as with the Horse Stable back on your Home Farm, this can be expanded. In this is where your excess building materials will come into play. Note: Expanding is entirely voluntary, so save your building parts if you wish to build other structures, like the Garage, first.

The first expansion will require a full 50 parts to complete: 10 each of Bricks, Harnesses, Horseshoes, Nails, and Wooden Boards. This is the exact same setup as the Horse Stable expansions back on your Home Farm, as you will need to, more or less, collect enough building ingredients to build a Horse Stable from scratch just to expand. You'll be able to store 10 more Horses when this is done. It's presumable that a second expansion will be available after the first, containing the same requirements, and adding another 10 spots of inventory to your Horse Stable, just as with the original Horse Stable on your Home Farm.

Here's a rundown of ways to get more of these ingredients, if you don't have any saved in your inventory:

- Click on the "Ask for More" button under each ingredient and send individual requests for items to friends
- Purchase these ingredients for 1 Farm Cash each
- Use Special Delivery Boxes which will reward you with the parts you need
- Have friends send these to you from the free gifts page
- Look for wall posts giving away excess parts as your friends complete building projects on their own farms

If you'd like to quickly stock your Horse Stable with new Horses, remember that your gift box can be used on both your Home Farm and your English Farm. If you collect from the Nursery Barn on your Home Farm, as an example, and one of your foals grows into a Horse, you can take that Horse with you to England and place it in this Horse Stable. You can also purchase some Horses (even some English Horses) from the store. Your Horse Stable can be harvested once per day.

Farmville :Adding Love Potion to Sheep Pen Guide ((Share))

attempt at breeding only comes with a 50% success rate, but you can increase the chance for success by adding Love Potions to the equation. You'll be able to ask your friends to send you potions by clicking on the "Ask for Potions" button in the lower left corner of the Sheep Pen's menu. This is achieved via a general wall post, rather than individual requests. You can also purchase Love Potions in packs of 5 for 5 Farm Cash.

Each Love Potion used creates a higher chance of successful breeding, and lowers the time required to wait for the sheep to breed. Here's a rundown:

- 1 Love Potion: 60% success rate; breeding completed in 12 hours
- 2 Love Potions: 70% success rate; breeding completed in 6 hours
- 3 Love Potions: 80% success rate; breeding completed in 3 hours
- 4 Love Potions: 90% success rate; breeding completed in 1 hour
- 5 Love Potions: 100% success rate; breeding completes instantly

Your two chosen animals will then go into one of the three breeding stalls in your Sheep Pen, where they will "do their business" until the timer is up. You'll need to apply all or none of your Love Potions before setting the two animals to breed, as you can't interrupt them in the middle.

Neighbors' crops show as withered with new bug ((Tell your Friends "Share"))

Users over on the FarmVille forums never miss a beat, as today they have discovered a new bug that has run through the majority of players' games. This bug allows you to visit your friends' farms as normal, but shows all of their crops as being withered. When visiting these friends, and choosing to spend your five daily actions, you can "un-wither" five plots of land, but as it turns out, those crops really aren't withered in the vast majority of cases.

From my own experience, having daily players in the 90-100 level range that suddenly have withered crops [see above] just didn't make sense. After confirming with a few of them, their crops are just fine, and the fact that I'm seeing them as withered is just a glitch or bug, if you will. We're not sure if your actions on those particular plots of crops actually has an effect, however. It could be that you'll actually end up "fertilizing" their land, rather than "un-withering" crops, but either way, make a note of this new bug so you don't inadvertently remove active players from your friends' list because it appears as though they've stopped playing. In all likelihood, they're seeing withered crops on your own farm as well.

Farmville Helping Hands Guide (Free Gift) (( Share ))

Now that is a Free Gift. Zynga is slowly releasing a brand new gift to FarmVille through the Free Gifts page, Helping Hands. This new gift, while unreleased for some including myself, seems to contain one of each of these Boosts: Farmhands, Arborists and Fertilize Alls. Think of it as a Special Delivery for, well, everything else. (Everything else aside from what I really need: Instant Grow). Either way, increased XP and readied Animals is always a welcome addition to most players' Gift Boxes.

While veteran players who have already all but mastered English Countryside might not benefit from these items, those still working their way up could use some of these tools. When you finally get the chance to gift Helping Hands, try sending them to lower level players--they likely need them more than your seasoned farmers.

Famrville Wildflowers blow in, give precious XP (Tell your Friends "Share")

FarmVille is so advanced, it plants crops for you! We kid (obviously), but this discovery within the English Countryside is certainly interesting. FarmVille Freak has received reports--and replicated it themselves-

-that Wildflowers will randomly grow on freshly plowed land when away from the game. Of course, the land has to be free of any plants, but still a darn cool feature for when you know you might be away from the game for a while. Especially considering that harvesting the flowers is worth 100 coins and 1 XP a plot. Think of the new Wildflowers as lessening the sting of being away from your English farm for too long. Pausing the new farm to protect your crops?

FarmVille Keep Both Farms Growing! ((Travel Option))

We are already seeing some players are given the option to have BOTH Farms ‘Active’ when going back to their ‘Home Farm’! We are so proud that Farmers of the game are so dedicated to get what they want. It is on slow release meaning we will need to wait a little bit longer before this feature will appear to all Farmers. – Happy Farming!

Iformation About Sheep Pen Untruths straight from Zynga ((If You Lov It "Like"))

Yesterday Zynga decided to throw up some info about sheep pens,

But I'm guessing they didn't really fact check their info, so here goes a correction:

First, if you get a lamb of a particular gender three times in a row, you'll get a lamb of the opposite gender, guaranteed. The rest is up to chance.

Incorrect Its supposed to work this way, but seemingly doesn't. I know this because I just about 20 minutes ago got 14 ewes in a row. Also other people report the same thing. Good Job Zynga.

Second, any possible patterns are determined by the father alone. A lamb can inherent the pattern of the ram or none at all.

Also not true, I at least 20 times have got a Patterned animal after having a No Pattern Ram and a Patterned ewe, and so have other people. Maybe later on this will be true. Here is one example:

Third, the colors of the body and potential pattern are determined by the colors of both of the parents, which can be deviated somewhat from that color base for variety.

Can't really argue with this, but there has been plenty of times that a No Pattern Ram that's Maroon has relations with a No Pattern Ewe that's Teal, and it ends up a White No Pattern Ewe, but I guess technically white is a part of all colors or some such.

A few more things that aren't true… Someone emailed me and swore there were only FOUR possible outcomes for each pairing of sheep. Well I know that's a load of crap since I did the same pair 10 times and every time it was different.

Which brings me to my next point, I've been messaged a number of times about When are we going to post a "DNA List" well, we aren't. Why you may ask? Because there is no such thing. 100 people could make the same pair of sheep do the dirty, and all 100 could be different from each other. The difference could be extreme or just a slight shade difference. Here are 3 examples I saved the other day when I was curious if there was some all magical way to predict the outcome.

Farmville More Information On Sheep Breeding! ((Details Here))

UPDATE: This post has been updated to include more info.

We’ve all been having so much fun breeding our Sheep in the English Countryside, but the results can be pretty random. The FarmVille Blog has answered a few frequently asked questions on Sheep Breeding such as the chances of producing offspring based on gender, and what determines colors and patters.

We learn that:

  • If you get the same sex offspring 3 times in a row, the next offspring will be the opposite gender.
  • Only the FATHER determines PATTERN. (However, the Lamb does not have to inherit Ram’s pattern.)
  • The COLOR of the body and also the color of the pattern are determined by both parents.

Despite what the FarmVille Blog claims we can verify that the gender fact is not always true. I have produced many more than three female Ewes in a row. Other FarmVille Freaks have also experienced the same gender results and conflicting results for color and pattern than what the blog mentions.

From FarmVille Blog:

“Many of you have often asked about how exaclty sheep breeding works. No, not the “baa chicka baa baa” part, but what determines the lamb’s colors when fully grown, patterns, etc.

First, if you get a lamb of a particular gender three times in a row, you’ll get a lamb of the opposite gender, guaranteed. The rest is up to chance.

Second, any possible patterns are determined by the father alone. A lamb can inherent the pattern of the ram or none at all.

Third, the colors of the body and potential pattern are determined by the colors of both of the parents, which can be deviated somewhat from that color base for variety.

In the example below, using Brutus the Ram and a Brown Sheep produced the following different color patterns and sheep:”

FarmVille English Carriage & More ((Details Here But Like First))

Following the release of the FarmVille English Countryside, many farmers have dived straight into designing and decorating their second, foreign farms. Many decorations were released for this purpose earlier this week.

Similar to the animals that were released tonight, none of these decorations are locked exclusively to the FarmVille English Countryside. Farmville 1 Lamb Limit ((Tell your Friends "Share"))

FarmVille Player Mary Had a Little Lamb, Little Lamb … sorry, I couldn’t resist. That’s right, just one Lamb! If you are hoping to score free Lambs off your Facebook News Feed, good luck with that because you will only be able to adopt one Lamb per day via the feed.

We haven’t really noticed the 1 Lamb Limit because not that many farmers are sharing Lambs and instead are opting to keep these cute little guys for their own personal FarmVille flock. Sheep breeding is still too new and shiny for us to be benevolent.

Speaking of limitations in the Sheep Breeding realm, if you didn’t know there is also a limit to how many Sheep you can keep. Currently you can only keep 100 Sheep placed on your actual farm although you may continue to breed more. .

“Hi there,

I haven’t seen anything on FV about this yet. I just got a message that you can only adopt one lamb per day. Not sure what constitutes a “day” (midnight to midnight, or reset to reset).

- FarmVille Player Mary”

((Guide)) English Mobile Farming on your iPhone, iPad, etc. ((All Details))(Share)

Mobile Farming in English Countryside

  • Any actions completed on iPhone or iPad will count towards the quests that unlock England.
  • Once England is unlocked by farm cash or quests, you will be able to load England on your iPhone only if you have first navigated to it on the web.
    • If the app is in the background on your home farm and you have navigated to England on the web, you will get an OOS (Out Of Sync error) to restart the app and load in England.
  • The gift inventory (Gift Box) is shared across both England and Home farms but certain items will be locked in inventory if associated with the opposite farm (I.E. England items will be locked from use while on your Home farm). All pending gifts can be accepted across farms.
  • Neighbors are shared across farms and you will visit whichever farm that neighbor is currently viewing.
    • Example: If Mary is working on her English farm and I go visit her, I will go to her English farm. While visiting, I can fertilize plots and feed her chickens (if present), the same as with the home farm.
  • Storage inventory is unique to each farm. This means storage items are not shared.
  • The market will have unique items, differentiating between your Home farm and English farm. Items will appear locked on the farm you are not currently visiting.
  • The Sheep Pen will only display the offspring as white. “

100 Bred Sheep Limit? ((Details Here But Share First))

It seems FarmVille and Zynga have put a limit on the amount of Bred Ewes and Rams you are allowed to place on your Farm. This does not appear to be a limit on the total you can breed in general but a limit on the amount placed on a Farm. 100 may seem like a lot, but if you are a dedicated sheep breeder this may become some what of a sensitive subject if you are trying to breed a lot of sheep for your own personal collections
