Why are crops locked to original farm? Read About It Here

With tonight’s FarmVille updates, one unwanted change has FarmVille Freaks a little worried.

It seems as though each crop is locked to its original farm. In other words, English Countryside crops can only be grown in the English Countryside and other crops that originate from your Home Farm are locked to growing on your Home Farms.

Previously, after completing all the English Countryside quests, you were able to grow either crops on the farm of your choice. This is no longer the case after tonight’s updates. At this point, Zynga has confirmed that this is a bug and is not intentional nor permanent. They are also working on a fix.

Read the entire statement from FarmVille Community Manager, Grimwell below (Thank you to FarmVille Freak Dark Farmer for updating us with news.):

Crops are Now Locked to Home Farm and English Countryside
Last Update: 7/19

Description: After our most recent update, players can no longer benefit from the earned ability to plant crops on either farm. Home Farm crops are locked to the Home Farm and English Countryside crops are locked to the English Countryside.

Update: Greenhouse seeds are no longer visible while on the English Countryside. This is believed to be related to the same bug causing crops to lock and has been added to our investigation.

Status: This issue has been confirmed by the FarmVille development team and we are investigating the cause so we can work on a solution.

Workaround: Plant crops you still have available within this lock until the bug is resolved.”
